Meditation has always been an important aspect of my spiritual soundness and growth. I grew up in a Christian family where I spent at least 3 days of the week in church, so I’ve always been exposed to the power of prayer and meditation.

Meditation isn’t simply something to do. It’s an intimate time to connect with yourself and affirm your value. It’s a moment of vulnerability married to strength and power as you release your inner thoughts and feelings to the universe. It’s my personal time with God, as I affirm His will for my life.

I know that there are several well-known Hindu mantras and chants out there, but I’m sharing 10 of my favorite personal mantras that I use during meditation. Check them out!

Don’t hate, meditate!

Here are 10 of my favorite personal mantras to affirm during meditation.

1. Find your seed. Sow with intention. Grow your heart’s desires.

2. The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5: 22-13)

3. I am not distracted by perceived obstacles. I am rooted in peace like a tree planted by water.

4. I do not acknowledge fear of the unknown. I live what I love.

5. I am made in the image of God, and if there’s nothing too hard for Him, there’s nothing too hard for me.

6. You can’t grow where you don’t sow.

7. I will not be swayed by the blows of uncertainty. I intentionally live a purpose-driven life.

8. I open myself to the divine healing of love. I am capable and willing to give and receive it. 

9. I was not built to break. I am an unmovable fortress, rooted in love and strength.

10. I can achieve anything that my mind can conceive and my heart can believe.

Focus your mind, find a rhythm and repeat one or more of these mantras during your time of mediation.
