I rarely wear turtlenecks. I’m not sure why. Well, actually I do know why. I live in Florida the weather really doesn’t permit it.
That was pretty much the case yesterday when my BF and I got together to snap pics of today’s featured outfit. The temperature was in the low 70’s, but I wanted to dress for the season (In other parts of the world), so I threw on a turtleneck, a sweater skirt and my favorite over-the-knee boots.
One of the things that drew me to this sweater skirt that I snagged for a steal at TJ Maxx were the zippers on the sides. I’m a sucker for zipper details and like the versatility these side zippers gave me for styling purposes. I knew I wanted to wear my thigh high boots, so I unzipped the skirt on the sides a bit to avoid discomfort or that awkward bulkiness that sometimes occurs when pairing lengthier boots with a more formfitting pencil skirt or dress.
These black Guess Zonian over-the-knee boots have been a Fall/Winter staple of mine for the past two years. I LOVE this shoe!
I kept my accessories simple by throwing on a mix of silver and gold bangles and my Love, Cortnie Cool Cat Statement Clutch. (Check out my interview with the amazing designer behind the brand here. )
I’m sure people thought I was a bit extra for being so “overdressed” for the weather, but it sure did feel good!
Ciao Bellas,
That was a lovely outfit Margo, we loved the print details on the clutch.
XOXO
