I’m pretty finicky when it comes to trying new products on my skin. Partly because it’s one of the first things people see when the look at you, and because my skin is very sensitive. (In a an oily/dry combination kind of way… sigh.)

Usually gentle cleansers are the way to go for me, so when I heard about the Brazilian Peel Clear Acne Treatment, I squirmed a little because I though it would be painful and overly harsh on my skin, but boy was I wrong! When I received a package in the mail with a free sample of the two-step acne treatment, which is composed of a clear acne mask and acne booster pads, I read through the press release and directions carefully and thoroughly to get a feel for it.

I was ready put their claims of being a low-strength peel whose “non-irritating” formula resulted in “brighter, smoother, clearer skin in an instant” to the test, so I started using it the next day.

Here’s a quick recap of my 4-week journey with the product. *Note: (I used my normal gentle facial cleanser daily followed by the two-step peel kit. Each week, I washed my face and used the Acne Control Booster Pads on M,T,Th,F. On Wednesday I used the Professional Strength Weekly Acne Peel with Acai.)

Week 1: My first experience with the pads was getting used to the texture. Although, they aren’t hard they do have a buffering feeling when swabbing them on the skin. It didn’t irritate my skin or leave discoloration. My skin immediately felt softer.

The peel comes in syringes with a clear gel in one side and a white gel in the other. I looks intimidating at first sight but it’s easy to use. You just break the seal on the tip, and push the end of the syringe until it’s empty, blend the gels together, apply and let it sit for 10 minutes.

The mask has a warm, and slightly tingling feeling when you put it on your face. It doesn’t burn, but it does feel tingly. The warm sensation is said to help the product penetrate skin below the surface to unclog pores and help eliminate dead skin and acne scars. It also doesn’t dry or get hard while it’s on your face–it remains in its gel form.

Week 2: By this time I was accustomed to my new routine. There were a couple of times when I had a breakout (because of hormonal issues), so I made sure to concentrate the pads on these areas, and within a few days the blemishes decreased in size and faded. This is when I became addicted to the pads!

Week 3: Around this time, I started noticing fewer dark spots on my face. There were a few acne scars on my cheeks, so I made sure to pay attention to them since day 1. They didn’t completely go away, but I did notice that they began to fade.

Week 4: My skin was softer and smoother, with almost no blemishes. There were definitely fewer dark spots. Sometimes, my skin gets dry patches around my nose and cheeks after a wash, but I noticed that the dry patches decreased in size. With more use, I think they’ll continue to fade.

Since trying the Brazilian Peel Clear kit, my skin is definitely softer, has fewer blemishes and has fewer dark spots. I’m already planning to place my order for another month’s supply because I’m sure my skin will do nothing more than benefit from this product.

You know I wouldn’t lead you astray, and I only blog about products that work for me and that I truly believe are worth trying, and THIS IS WORTH TRYING! I’m very pleased with the results.
