Guys, I love lipstick. Swiping on a gorgeous new lippie is a quick and easy way to instantly update your look and it really is a confidence booster. I’m always eager to learn about and try new brands and when I heard discovered Gerard Cosmetics, I knew I had to give their new lipsticks a try. This company was started by Jennifer Gerard and is s a line of luxurious products that were created for everyday women.
I received a sample of the lipstick in the shade “Grape Soda” to review. I’m a sucker for purple lipstick, so I was really excited to swatch away!
At first swipe the lippie applied a bit light. I was taken aback and ready to discard it as not worth a try, but I continued to swipe it on. After applying a few layers I was pleased with the outcome. I would advise using a lipstick brush to ensure you get smooth, even layers of the product. In the above photo I’m wearing the lipstick with no lip liner, but for longer wear and a bit more coverage, I recommend a good liner and lipstick base.
The name truly fits this lipstick because it totally gives me the vibe of what a bottle of what grape soda looks like in the glass–vibrantly purple! It has a nice jewel-tone purple finish, which is perfect for summer because warm, shimmery lippies are kinda in this season! Plus, it looked amazing on my cinnamon skin. The wear of this lipstick was pretty good. I did have to re=apply a few times throughout the day so you might want to have a travel lipstick brush handy if you’re out-and-about.
