I know I said I was cutting back on my shopping this month and I’ve been doing pretty well. The other day I visited the on-site company store at my office (Clearly a bad thing for product junkies like myself) and I saw Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color on display. If you read this blog, then you know I’m not the kind of girl to shay away from gorgeous lippies, especially when they’re from a fab brand like Urban Decay. (I just can’t do it)

Well, I was totally wrong. The formula of Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color is very creamy. Not the kind of creamy that bubbles up or goes on a little rough–this was smooth sailing. The texture of these lipsticks is very soft and it pretty much melted into my skin when I applied it. On top of having a pleasant texture, they lived up to the “highly-saturated” description on the label.
I was particularly impressed that they’re not just high gloss but they’re also highly pigmented. The shimmery colors have just as much coverage (about two coats) as the solids. For some people one coat may suffice but I’m heavy-handed with my lipstick wear because I love a nice full-coverage look on my lips. You guys know I’m a total sucker for a nice matte lip, but I am an absolute fan of all of these colors from the Urban Decay Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color collection! My favorites for Autumn are F-Bomb and Apocalypse.
You can find these high gloss lip pencils for about $20 each at department stores nationwide. I also saw them on sale at Ulta.com for $10. Get them while you can!
