Hey, hey family! I hope you’re all having a glamazing day! One of my fab B&B friends brought it to my attention that she couldn’t really see the difference in the Viva Glam Rihanna swatch and the RiRi Woo swatch that I shared on the blog. So, here’s a closer look at the two colors to help those of you who are on the fence about what sets them apart from each other.
Viva Glam Rihanna
Viva Glam Rihanna is a frost lipstick, so it has more of a shimmer to it. I have never been a big fan of frost lipstick because they tend to have too much of a shimmer for my taste and I prefer a matte look. But, I was impressed with the overall look and finish of this lip color. It’s not your usual metallic-meets-shimmer frost color. It has a rich, jewel-toned red look, which I think complements darker skin tones very well. While it is a vibrant red, like RiRi Woo, it’s darker in pigmentation and has a pop of shimmer with a creamy texture.
Here’s the color with no lipglass or liner on my lips.
RiRi Woo
RiRi Woo is a vibrant, poppy red retro matte lipstick from the RiRi Hearts Summer Collection. There’s no shimmer at all. While I haven’t really had any problems with drying, people say that the retro matte formula causes dryness. I always base my lips with a primer and don’t have this issue. You can see the color (with no liner) on my lips in the photo below.
The color is definitely brighter than Viva Glam Rihanna and the texture is totally different.
I hope this quick little comparison will help you see the difference between these lippies. I love them both and can’t wait to lay around with them!
What do you think about the Viva Glam Rihanna and RiRi Woo lipsticks?
Ciao Bellas,
