I’m always in the phase of cleaning/assessing/reorganizing my closet, so on a random Friday evening I decided to do a little cleaning and I stumbled upon a really dope utility jacket that I bought at Old Navy a few years ago. I was living in Chicago and it was snowing and cold, but not freezing so I wanted a trendy piece that would keep me warm and looking cute.
I forgot that this jacket is multi-functional; it has a removable lining so it can be work in cool temperatures as well as warmer temperatures, so now that I’m back in the Sunshine State I’ve been wearing it sans the padded lining.
I just love it when I can shop my own closet and be inspired to wear a piece that I had kept on the back burner for years!
I wanted to contrast the outdoorsy look of the utility jacket (very similar, similar) by paring it with a fitted khaki midi skirt form Akira Chicago (similar) and these DV by Dolce Vita heels.
It definitely pays off when you assess your closet to see what’s in there. I found so many articles of clothing that I had either forgotten about or really needed to get rid of. Thank God for me setting a goal to spend less and actually wear what’s in my closet.
This utility jacket will be in heavy rotation throughout the Fall and Winter seasons.
In case you’re wondering what color I’m wearing on my lips, it’s MAC’s limited-edition vampy purple shade, Punk Couture.
Ciao Bellas,
You are so fabulous! Can I just be you? I absolutely love everything about this look?
