You already knew it was coming…! (Haha) This month the September issue of Sister 2 Sister hit newsstands and yours truly penned a really fun fashion story called “Fashion Focus: Eva Marcille” in the Off The Runway column. Eva is on of my favorite models in the game. I’ve followed her since the start of her career during her time as a contestant and soon-to-be-winner of cycle three of America’s Next Top Model.
I was even fortunate enough to meet her during my time as an intern at Essence magazine back in 2009. It was actually on my last day in the office and in NYC. I stopped by the office for one last pow wow with Mikki Taylor and crew. About an hour before I left I received an e-mail that Eva was in the building and by the time I clicked the exit button, she and her stylist were standing in Mikki’s office swapping compliments, laughing and having fun.
OMG! She’s SOOOOOO pretty in person. I couldn’t help but peep her toned frame, gorgeous caramel skin, fab hair and girl-next-door meets a sexy siren swag. Besides being absolutely stunning, she was as sweet as can be. I was like a kid in the candy store when she took time to snap a pic with a lowly intern like myself. (OK. I’m being a bit extra, but you catch my drift.)
So, with all of that being said… there’s a new reality TV show called “Girlfriends Confidential: LA” premiering on September 3 on Oxygen that stars Eva and her friends, where they give us a glimpse into their personal and professional lives.
