Hey-hey lovely people! I hope you’re having a splendid day! You already know that I love the me some Terrence Davidson, and besides the fact that he’s responsible for the many over-the-top looks of everyone’s favorite Harajuku Barbie Nicki Minaj, (No wonder he’s known as “The Wig Master”) his passion for hair is always evident.
The multi-talented hair guru recently hosted his 4th annual Tranz4merz Hair Battle as a “give back event” that helps talented, up-and-coming hairstylists from all over the nation compete for a $5,000-$10,000 grand prize.
Terrence did his thing and wowed onlookers by opening the show with a recreation one of Nicki’s most talked about hairstyles…her leopard print updo from the 2011 Grammys. (Don’t act like you didn’t stare at the TV and wonder how this hair art/glam masterpeice was created and who did it!)
This look is kinda hard to forget! (SN: Nicki is giving all kinds of fierce face in this shot?! Lol)
A highlight of the night was definitely when the former FHI executives–now ONE Styling Tools executives Joseph and David Kim presented Terrence with the very first styling from his new line with the company. I guess that was one of those big projects that he alluded to in my interview with him a few months ago.
This year’s the grand prize winner was Shannon, who presented a Zodiac themed set; Tyrell C., an Empire Beauty School student, was also awarded a $500 scholarship. Truly, a glam occasion, indeed!
Event sponsors included ONE Styling Tools, Mizani, Organic Root Stimulator, Echelon, and Cuticle Remy XQ.
I’m so happy for Terrence and I’m ecstatic to know that his career is getting better and better with time. Let’s make a toast to his 20+ successful years in the industry–and many more to come. Cheers!
Ciao Bellas,
Ok, I definitely supprot people who wear their hair natural. I tried to wear it natural but I have a lot of hair and the only way I could wear it and have it look nice is if I cut it (my beautician told me this) but I love my hair so I could never do it. Plus, it’s a lot of work since my hair is really thick and it’s long My mom wears her hair natural and it’s beautiful and looks amazing on her. But I hate when people say to wear it any other way but natural is self-hating and it’s unnatural. So are white people who bleach their hair and curl it or straighten it everyday self-hating ? Or the term only apply to girls who wear weaves or perm their hair?i meant to say, it’s, well, unnatural Isn’t it unnatural for white girls to alter the look of their hair, too?White girls wear weaves too what do you call those clip-on things? That’s not real hair.A lot of white actresses wear weaves too!WINTER BLOSSOM you are the same girl who said that you don’t like when black women wear weaves because it’s unnatural so my question for you is why do you care about how black women wear their hair?yeah sunshine same here!
