All jokes aside, there is nothing like having the perfect little black dress as a mainstay in your closet. It really is a fashion staple that can be an instant scene-stealer. I let this fringe detailed black dress from Banana Republic sit in my closet for over a year before I wore it. When I saw it in the store, I fell in love with it at first sight and instantly started planning ways to wear it, but instead of rocking this fly frock, I let it sit in my closet for 12+ months!  

Outfit details: black fringe detail dress (Another style I love) / black pom heels (similar) /gold cuff (similar)

I finally gave it a try and paired it with strappy black heels with faux fur accents (They also sat in my closet unworn for months.) and magic was made in the form of all black everything! My godmother (who gifts me often with amazing fashion pieces and accessories) gave me this gorgeous gold cuff from the Smithsonian for Christmas, and it felt like the perfect classic addition to this look.

Isn’t it crazy how you can have to pieces sitting in your closet for months and in this case over a year and one day the thought of wearing them together arises and you seize the opportunity? I love when I can bring pieces from my closet to life on the
