Spring has officially sprung and I’ve added the new Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 HR Foundation and Concealer to my makeup rotation to spice things up with my beauty routine for the new season.
When I heard about the these products, I instantly wanted to get my hands on them! I’ve been focusing more on skin care these days so I’ve taken a more minimalist approach to makeup and these lightweight formulas came my way just in time.
Here are my thoughts on Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 HR Breathable Foundation and Concealer.
Anytime the season changes, I update my skin care and makeup routine to complement the weather, so these products came my way just in time. These are my first impressions after a few wears.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 HR Long Wear Foundation + Swatches on Dark Skin
This foundation is medium coverage with a high definition finish.
It doesn’t have a thick consistency like the foundations that I usually wear, but it applied smooth and gave a matte finish. (Which I love!)
It gave decent coverage throughout the day, but I don’t think it looked flawless the entire time—touch-ups are definitely needed. I recommend using a setting powder with this product if you really want to extend the wear.
I tried Mocha and Deep Mocha separately and was actually surprised by how good they looked. Because this is a medium coverage, buildable foundation, I didn’t notice an extreme difference in the shades once applied all over my face, but Mocha gave the best result.
There are 16 shades in the line and I requested samples of the the darker shades to review. I hope they come out with more shades beyond Deep Mocha, which is currently the darkest option, for the ladies with even more malanin magic because there’s absolutely a market for it.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 HR Breathable Concelear + Swatches on Dark Skin
I was pleased with the consistency and lightweight-yet-creamy consistency of this concealer, which comes in six shades, upon my first use. It has an application sponge attached that made putting it on simple, but I used a beauty blender to execute the finished look.
This concealer is very creamy and gives great coverage and has decent staying power.
These are swatches of some of the darker shades from the collection. Again, there is definitely room to include more shades here as well. My preferred shade of this concealer is 400 Medium Dark; it gave my undereye area an instant boost and as a first-time mom of a 1-month old I’m here for it, hunty!
Overall, I’m pleased with the results I got using these products and I will keep them in rotation for my beauty looks.
Plus for the awesome price point of under $10 for the foundation and the concealer (available at mass retailers), you are getting your money’s worth… and then some
