“I want people to know that luxury is not exclusive. I also believe that there isn’t just one specific image of beauty that should be presented. I believe multi-ethnic and multi-cultural beauty should be represented and celebrated.” – Kristen Elise Brown, Founder Gold Label Cosmetics

Gold Label Cosmetics is the new object of my beauty affection. After interviewing the company’s founder Kristen Elise Brown, I really connected with the brand’s mission to celebrate all shades of beauty and to make luxury products accessible to the masses. I was fortunate enough to receive samples of the collection to review on the blog and I’m excited to share my thoughts with you!

I swatched all of the lipstick colors from the line, and I love the pigmentation and creamy finish of these lippies. The shades range from creamy mattes to creamy satins. Besides the texture the first thing that really stood out to me was the pigmentation. These are some vibrant, long-lasting products! I’m a fan of all of thes shades (which is a rarity for a lippie line) and I’ve made a few fun lipstick cocktails using some of the shades, but I’ve pretty much been rocking these solo because they’re pretty dope and gorgeous to wear.

This summer I have been wearing Evil Twin like it’s nobody’s business. I’m obsessed with this vibrant coral matte shade. I usually wear a burnt orange liner on my lips to add pop and dimension. I’ve also lived in Zi Se, First Class, and Evil Twin. This fall I’ll be breaking out 1978 and Dark Children.

I love the gold packaging and the lipstick’s unique names. They’re all based on positive affirmations or lifestyle aspirations, which I love! The brand’s founder Kristen believes in the power of words and put extra TLC into naming the products.

I’ve pretty much lived in these lipsticks since I received them,  and I don’t see that changing anytime soon!
