I. Love. Lip. Products. I love them in neutral shades, warm shades, sheer shades and bright shades. I love them matte. I love them with a satin finish. I love them glossy and I love them with a bit of shimmer. It’s safe to say that I have a lippie obsession, and I’m not ashamed to own it and share it with you!

I recently discovered some really amazing lip lacquers and lip stains from New York Color Cosmetics that have become my recent beauty crushes.

My lips were on instant fleek when I swiped NYC Expert Last Lip Lacquer on them! All jokes aside, these lip lacquers are the business! I really love the smell and feel of them– they have a soft, sweet scent that isn’t too strong, but pleasant enough to give you a boost when applying.

They glide on smoothly, have a nice sheen that isn’t too shiny and lasted about few hours through my coffee drinking and morning meetings, so I give them an A+. They are great for buildable coverage but yield pretty great pigmentation straight out of the tube.

The NYC Expert Last Lip Lacquer collection comes in 12 shades ranging from neutral mocha hues to vibrant pinks and corals. They are uber-affordable with a price tag of $3.99.

I typically find myself drawn to matte lip finishes, so I was really excited to try out NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lip Stain. One thing that I don’t love about some lip stains is they sometimes leave your lips sticky. Well, Smooch Proof didn’t–it glided on smoothly and evenly and didn’t feel like sticky syrup on my lips! You do have to build this product up on the lips depending on the amount of coverage that you desire. The swatches below are from one layer. I like full coverage and lips that pop, so I put on two coats and had pleasing results. (Let each layer dry before applying the next for the best look.)

These lip stains are available in 6 shades and are formulated to last up to four hours without fading. Honey, that is an understatement. The swatches that I did took about 24 hours to fully fade from my arm, but I didn’t use any makeup remover or my go-to Coconut Oil to remove it and the residue was very light.  A good exfoliating scrub of the lips or swipe of Coconut Oil will have you good to go as far as removal goes.

With a price tag of $2.99, NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lip Stain is a deal you can’t pass up. Seriously, you get great coverage and once it dries, it’s not going anywhere.

I’m a huge fan of these new lip lacquers and lip stains from New York Color. They exceeded my expectations in texture and coverage, so I’ll be adding more of them to my ever-growing lippie collection. Want to add them to yours, too? Go for it; hey’re available at drugstores nationwide!
