Why I Struggle With Sharing Pics of My Son on Social Media

One of the biggest questions that I get as a content creator is why I don’t share a lot of pictures of my son on social media. And, honestly, it’s because I’m not prepared for him to have a huge digital footprint just yet.

I do share him on my IG Stories on occasion and I definitely mention him in my posts, but I guess the overprotective mommy in me wants to shield him from the attention (good and bad) that social media can bring.

I’ve experienced everything from feel-good messages to shady subliminals, and, when people throw shade my initial reaction is to throw it right back, but then I tap into my yogi vibes and dismiss it. Plus, I watch a lot of ID and Lifetime movies and feel like predators might target my little one if I overshare and tag locations and etc.!

Over time, I’ve absolutely learned to take the good and the bad that comes with social media (especially since 95% of the time I’ve witness amazing people and opportunities from sharing my passions with others via social), but I can’t imagine that happening to my child!

Am I being paranoid, friends?

Maybe, I’m overthinking it and it will be all good! I definitely plan to share him more as he gets older, but for now, you all can experience him in sweet little bursts on social media!

How do you deal with sharing your kids or loved ones on social media? Any tips to help alleviate my anxiety would be great!

Ciao Bellas,
